How sealed offers work

Overview

When the desk offers your car, verified buyers seal one offer each before the closing date. You read every offer privately after it closes and accept one, or none.

What's in a Bid?

Each agent bid includes:

Commission Rate

The percentage of the sale price the agent charges. Rates are negotiable.

Marketing Plan

What the agent will spend on marketing your property (photos, advertising, etc.).

Timeline

How long the agent expects to take to sell your property.

Pitch

A brief message from the agent explaining why they're the right choice.

The Bidding Process

Step 1: Your Listing Goes Live

After approval, your listing is published and agents in your area are notified.

Step 2: Agents Submit Bids

Agents review your listing and submit competitive bids. Most properties receive 3-5 bids within the first week.

Step 3: Compare Bids

View all bids side-by-side in your dashboard. Compare:

  • Commission rates
  • Marketing plans
  • Timelines
  • Agent ratings and reviews

Step 4: Message Agents

Have questions? Message agents directly through the platform. Discuss their approach, experience, or anything else.

Step 5: Accept a Bid

When you're ready, accept the bid that best suits your needs. The agent's contact details are unlocked, and you can begin the sales process.

  • Listing approval: Within 4 business hours
